Pueraria Mirifica Powder is a fine powder made from the Chinese medicine Pueraria Mirifica. High uric acid is commonly associated with gout, which is categorized as “turbid stasis paralysis, paralysis” in Chinese medicine. Pueraria lobata has no effect on lowering uric acid. Pueraria Mirifica is a traditional Chinese medicine, which is the dried root of Pueraria Mirifica, family Leguminosae, with the effects of relieving muscle heat (relieving heat from the surface of the skin), transmitting rashes, generating fluids to quench thirst, and elevating the sun to stop diarrhea. The drug is used to treat external fever, neck and back pain, thirst, hot diarrhea, and diarrhea. Clinically, Pueraria Mirifica is used in combination with Mentha piperita and Zingiber officinale to treat wind-heat cold; with Chai Hu, Scutellaria baicalensis, and Qiang Wu to treat wind-cold cold; with Sheng Ma, Paeonia lactiflora, and Glycyrrhiza glabra to treat rashes; and with Rehmannia glutinosa and Zhi Mu to treat thirst from fluid injury of heat illnesses. From the efficacy and action of this product, Pueraria Mirifica does not have the effect of lowering uric acid. If there is a need for treatment of gout, comprehensive treatment should be combined with the condition under the guidance of a Chinese medicine practitioner. Chinese medicines or proprietary Chinese medicines need to be used under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner to identify the symptoms, and individuals should not use them blindly to avoid adverse consequences.
