A total vaginal hysterectomy is a hysterectomy performed through the female vagina in the natural cavity. Conventional laparoscopic surgery requires an incision in the abdomen, whereas a total vaginal hysterectomy is the opposite resection from open surgery, where open surgery is performed from top to bottom and vaginal surgery is performed from bottom to top. It is a better minimally invasive procedure because it requires less bleeding, 24 hours of postoperative activity, normal diet, faster recovery, and less trauma, as well as more comprehensive basic knowledge and clinical skills.
