Cranberry and sesame oil are not scientific treatments for rhinitis. The common types of rhinitis are allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic rhinitis, which are mainly treated with local sprays and oral medicines.
1. Local medication: you can use physiological saline to clean the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity. With the local use of glucocorticoid nasal spray, such as budesonide, fluticasone propionate, mometasone furoate and so on. When nasal congestion is severe, nasal decongestants can be applied, such as hydroxymetazoline hydrochloride nasal drops, ephedrine nasal drops, etc. However, such drugs should not be used continuously for more than 7 days.
2. Oral medication: Different kinds of rhinitis require different kinds of oral medication. Such as allergic rhinitis, oral antihistamines, such as cetirizine, loratadine and so on. Chronic simple rhinitis patients can take oral treatment of proprietary Chinese medicines such as Huo bile pill, rhinitis tablets and so on. Chronic atrophic rhinitis can take oral vitamins and trace elements.
All of the above drugs need to be applied under the guidance of the doctor. There are many other types of rhinitis and not all of them are suitable for the above treatment program. Therefore, once the symptoms of rhinitis appear, it is recommended to go to the ear, nose and throat department of the hospital, after a clear diagnosis, under the guidance of the doctor for treatment.
