What is adult Still’s disease?

This disease is a collective name for many clinical symptoms, and was first named by a foreigner called Still’s disease, which translates to Steele’s disease in Chinese. Currently this disease, which is mostly seen in children, also occurs in adults, and is therefore called adult Still’s disease. The main characteristic of this disease is fever, which lasts for a long time and has no obvious regularity, and may be accompanied by enlargement of internal organs, such as the liver, spleen, lymph nodes and so on, and may also cause anemia in the body. It may also cause arthritis of the joints (joint pain and limitation of movement), muscle aches and pains, and internal organ damage. It is currently believed that Steele’s disease is an immune or auto-inflammatory disease that requires hormonal and immunosuppressive therapy.
