Is the ascending colon prone to cancer?

Cancer can occur in the ascending colon under some high-risk factors, and one cannot simply say whether it is easy or not. Colon cancer is a common malignant tumor in the gastrointestinal tract. Although the etiology of the disease is not clear, it can lead to colon cancer under the role of some related high-risk factors such as inflammatory bowel disease, family history, adenomatous polyps, lack of dietary fiber or smoking. The intestinal lumen of the ascending colon is large, and the general colon cancer grossly typed as bulging is more common in the right colon, which is prone to necrosis, bleeding and infection. After colon cancer occurring in the ascending colon, it may appear after development with abdominal mass, abdominal pain and systemic symptoms. For high-risk people with symptoms such as abdominal pain and abdominal mass, colonoscopy should be performed in time to determine the diagnosis and then comprehensive treatment.
