Manifestations of iron deficiency in women

The manifestations of iron deficiency in women include anemia manifestations, non-anemia manifestations, and special manifestations of iron deficiency.
1. Anemia manifestations: common manifestations of anemia include tinnitus, blurred vision, fatigue, shortness of breath after activity, headache, palpitation, dizziness, easy to get tired, etc.
2. Non-anemic manifestations: manifestations of irritability, irritability, inattention, etc.
3. Special manifestations: e.g. lingual inflammation, xerostomia, etc. In severe cases, constipation, loss of appetite, nausea, and antinail (i.e., spoon-shaped nails) may occur. It can also be manifested as heterophagia, the mechanism of which is not clear and can disappear after iron treatment.
Patients with the above symptoms should go to the hospital promptly and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of a doctor. Commonly used iron agents include iron sucrose and ferrous succinate.
