Microadenoma clinically refers to pituitary microadenoma, which can be divided into functional pituitary microadenoma and non-functional pituitary microadenoma. Non-functional pituitary microadenoma usually does not have any symptom, while functional pituitary microadenoma will cause symptoms such as female menstrual disorders or amenorrhea, male libido decrease or impotence, excessive secretion of pituitary hormones, acromegaly and so on.
1. Female menstrual disorders or amenorrhea: if female has prolactin adenoma, it will cause endocrine imbalance, which will easily cause menstrual disorders or amenorrhea and other symptoms.
2. Decreased libido or impotence in men: If men suffer from prolactin adenoma, the endocrine secretion in the body will be abnormal, which may cause decreased libido or impotence in men.
3. Excessive secretion of pituitary hormone: If thyrotropin-stimulating pituitary microadenoma is present, it may cause symptoms such as excessive secretion of pituitary hormone.
4. Acromegaly: If it is growth hormone type pituitary microadenoma, it will cause persistent over secretion of growth hormone in the body, which will lead to the symptoms of acromegaly.
