A 1-cm lung cancer lesion is less likely to metastasize if it is non-small cell lung cancer because the current tumor lesions are small and the cancer is mostly in the early stages. If it is small cell lung cancer, the probability of metastasis is higher.
Lung cancer, or primary bronchogenic carcinoma, primary bronchopulmonary carcinoma, is the most common primary malignant tumor of the lungs originating from the bronchial mucosa or glands. The cause of lung cancer is still unclear, and the causative factors may be smoking, occupational exposure, air pollution, ionizing radiation, diet and physical activity, heredity and so on.
1. Non-small cell lung cancer: 1cm lung cancer foci, most of the cancers are in the early stage, which can be treated by surgery, generally can remove the foci more thoroughly, can effectively control the cancer, so the probability of cancer metastasis is small.
2. Small cell lung cancer: small cell cancer is characterized by rapid proliferation and early widespread metastasis, and it is one of the most malignant lung cancers, and most of the patients as well as metastasis occur when they are diagnosed for the first time. In the case of small cell lung cancer, it is necessary to remove the tumor surgically and then cooperate with radiation therapy and chemotherapy to try to control the probability of cancer metastasis.
Patients should build up confidence in treating cancer and undergo regular treatment under the guidance of doctors.
