During gynecological examination, the main purpose of HPV check is to check whether the cervical epithelium is infected with HPV, especially high-risk HPV infection. Persistent infection of high-risk HPV may lead to cervical precancerous lesions and even develop into cervical cancer. Therefore, during gynecological examination, cervical cancer screening is required. Cervical cancer screening includes TCT lab test and HPV test. These two tests are very important because so far only cervical cancer has been identified as the cause of the disease, which is caused by high-risk HPV infection. Once a high-risk HPV infection is detected, further colposcopy is needed and then necessary interventions are given based on the results. Any abnormal problems found will be dealt with in time to eliminate cervical cancer and ensure women’s health. This test is very important and it is recommended that it should be done once a year even when there is no discomfort.
