Malignant tumors of the appendix are also a type of colorectal cancer. Generally, if surgery can be done to cure it, it may be able to survive for a long time, such as more than 3 years, 5 years or longer. There are some cecum malignant tumors that are rare and may be highly malignant, such as neuroendocrine carcinoma, which depends on the follow-up treatment to determine the stage or prognosis of survival time. There is no way to determine how long one can live, and one can only look at it while treatment. Malignant tumors of the appendix usually require an enlarged resection plus peripheral lymph node dissection. After surgery, at least 4-6 courses of adjuvant chemotherapy and some adjuvant radiotherapy are also available, and some targeted drugs can be combined with chemotherapy or used alone.
