Taking an X-ray is one of the more common clinical tests and an important criterion used to determine pneumonia. In the case of pneumonia, the following features will be seen on the X-ray: 1. The congestion phase will show an increase in the texture of the lungs on the X-ray, with capillaries appearing dilated and congested. 2. In the red and gray hepatomegaly phase of pneumonia, a more translucent bronchial shadow will be seen on the X-ray. Normally, chest films are black, while at this time the infected area has appeared white.3. Pneumonia in the receding phase shows irregular, white spots of varying sizes on the radiographs.
