Lol-type antihypertensive drugs are suitable for patients with various degrees of hypertension, especially for young and middle-aged patients with fast heart rate or patients with combined angina and chronic heart failure. Lol-type antihypertensive drugs, i.e. beta-receptor antagonists, common drugs include propranolol, metoprolol and atenolol. These drugs can inhibit myocardial contractility and slow down the heart rate to play the role of antihypertensive. Their antihypertensive effect is rapid and strong, and different types of β-receptor antagonists have different antihypertensive effects and durations. Beta antagonists have inhibitory effects on myocardial contractility, sinus node and atrioventricular node function, and can increase airway resistance. The main adverse effects are bradycardia, and abrupt discontinuation can lead to withdrawal syndrome. It is contraindicated in patients with acute heart failure, atrioventricular block, and sick sinus node syndrome. Patients with hypertension should be treated with antihypertensive therapy under the supervision of a specialist.
