What’s wrong with a woman’s yellowish discharge?

There are many reasons for the yellowing of women’s secretions, which may be caused by physiological vaginal discharge, gynecological inflammation, cervical and endometrial lesions, and so on.
1. Physiological vaginal discharge: normal women, due to the endometrium, cervix and vaginal glands will secrete mucus, coupled with the vagina, cervix and other parts of the epithelial cells of the cycle of shedding, will form physiological vaginal secretion, known as leukorrhea. The substances contained therein react with the oxygen in the air and may present a yellowish color.
2. Gynecological inflammation: Suffering from gynecological inflammation, such as vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., may lead to an increase in vaginal secretions, yellow purulent leukorrhea, discharge odor and other conditions. At the same time, patients may also be accompanied by vulvovaginal itching, abdominal pain and other symptoms.
3. Cervical and endometrial lesions: if there are cervical cancer, endometrial cancer and other diseases, due to the necrosis and shedding of epithelial cells of the lesions, abnormal vaginal secretion may also occur. At the same time, patients may also have symptoms such as coital bleeding and irregular vaginal bleeding.
There may also be other reasons for yellowish discharge. After eliminating the physiological reasons, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to avoid delaying the condition.
