What to do about multiple solid lung nodules

Multiple solid lung nodules can be caused by lung metastases, pulmonary nodular disease and tuberculosis, etc. Corresponding treatments should be carried out for the diseases, such as surgical resection or application of prednisone and anti-tuberculosis drugs. 1. Lung metastatic tumor: surgery is the first choice of treatment for lung metastatic tumor, and at the same time, the treatment of primary tumor should be carried out, for example, chemotherapy drugs such as vincristine can be used for lymphoma, and isocyclophosphamide can be used for sarcoma. 2. Lung nodular disease: when lung nodular disease has no obvious symptoms, no treatment is needed. When there are symptoms inside or outside the lung, such as coughing, or when it involves the heart, nerves and other parts of the body, it can be appropriately treated with glucocorticosteroid drugs such as prednisone and immunosuppressant drugs such as methotrexate. 3. Tuberculosis: mainly blood-borne tuberculosis will lead to multiple nodules in both lungs, accompanied by symptoms such as fatigue, low fever, night sweats, etc. Anti-tuberculosis drugs need to be applied, mainly including isoniazid, rifampicin and so on. Attention should be paid to follow the doctor’s prescription of medication, avoid self-medication.
