How effective is hormone therapy for nephrotic syndrome

Some nephrotic syndrome hormone effect is good, such as microscopic lesion nephropathy; some nephrotic syndrome hormone treatment effect is poor or even ineffective, such as membranous nephropathy.
Nephrotic syndrome refers to a class of diseases with massive proteinuria, hypoproteinemia, edema, and hyperlipidemia as clinical manifestations. Pathologic types are different, the degree of sensitivity to hormones (prednisone acetate) is not the same, for example, children with more microscopic lesion nephropathy, such diseases are often sensitive to hormone therapy, the application of large amounts of hormone therapy, nephrotic syndrome symptoms usually disappear quickly.
Some pathologic types, such as IgA nephropathy and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, are insensitive to hormone therapy and have poorer therapeutic effects. And some pathologic types, such as membranous nephropathy are often ineffective with hormone therapy alone and need to be treated with a combination of other drugs, such as tacrolimus and cyclophosphamide.
Hormones and other immunosuppressants have serious side effects, and the above medications need to be applied under the guidance of specialists, and should not be used without authorization to avoid aggravating the condition.
