How to treat advanced laryngeal cancer

Laryngeal cancer in advanced stage needs to be treated by surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. 1. Surgical treatment: common surgical treatments in clinic include partial laryngectomy, supraglottic laryngectomy, total laryngectomy and so on. After a thorough evaluation, the appropriate surgical method should be chosen. 2. Radiation therapy: For patients with advanced laryngeal cancer, radiation therapy may be needed after surgery. Some patients may have missed the chance of surgery, or they are willing to have surgery, radical radiotherapy can be considered. 3. Chemotherapy: After surgery, if the margins of laryngeal cancer patients are not satisfactory, or if they are combined with lymph node metastasis or invasion, they need to be treated with chemotherapy after surgery, or radiotherapy and chemotherapy simultaneously. Or radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be used simultaneously. Patients with laryngeal cancer need to go to the hospital in time, and doctors will make appropriate treatment plan according to the actual condition.
