High basophils may be caused by allergic diseases, blood diseases, infectious diseases, etc. Their importance is related to the condition, and it is more important when caused by blood diseases.
1. Basophils are elevated in allergic diseases such as allergic colitis and inhalation hypersensitivity reactions.
2. The level of basophils may also increase in blood diseases such as chronic granulocytic leukemia and infectious diseases such as chicken pox and tuberculosis.
In the case of allergic diseases and infectious diseases, the elevation is relatively insignificant because the condition is relatively mild and treatment is relatively easy. If it is caused by chronic granulocytic leukemia, TKI agents such as imatinib or dasatinib should be taken promptly. If the elevation is caused by other malignant neoplastic lesions of the hematologic system, appropriate treatment should be given promptly.
Specific disease diagnosis and treatment should be made under the supervision of a physician.
