Gynecological Cancer Screening Program

Gynecological cancer checkups include: 1. Cervical cancer checkups: Duplex screening, i.e. high-risk HPV test combined with cytology test, can be performed to detect early cervical lesions. If the patient has developed early cervical cancer, ultrasound, CT and chest X-ray are required. For advanced cervical cancer, patients are suggested to do cystoscopy, proctoscopy, PET-CT, MRI; 2. Examination of endometrial cancer: feasible vaginal ultrasound, if the result of vaginal ultrasound is the thickness of endometrium >5mm, diagnostic scraping, hysteroscopy and pathologic examination are needed. For early endometrial cancer, aspiration cytology examination is feasible; 3. Ovarian cancer examination: regular transvaginal gynecological ultrasound and CA125 screening are needed. For advanced ovarian cancer, imaging examination, such as magnetic resonance, CT, PET-CT, is needed; 4. Examination of other tumors: trophoblastic tumors need to check HCG, ovarian teratomas need to check CA199, and ovarian endodermal sinus tumors and ovarian yolk cystic tumors need to check alpha-fetoprotein. Carcinoembryonic antigen should be checked for intraepithelial mucinous adenocarcinoma.
