A bloated stomach as soon as you eat suggests that the patient may have abnormal gastrointestinal dynamics, that is, slowed gastric emptying or intestinal peristalsis, resulting in the accumulation of food in the gastrointestinal tract, causing abdominal distension, flatulence and other discomfort. Patients can apply symptomatic treatment with drugs that increase gastrointestinal dynamics, which are recommended to be taken orally about half an hour before meals. Commonly used are domperidone tablets, mosapride citrate tablets or etopride hydrochloride tablets. Patients are advised to pay attention to their diet and avoid foods that tend to produce gas, such as radish, soy products, sweet potatoes, etc. Patients are also advised to increase their activities after eating to promote gastrointestinal peristalsis and relieve the symptoms of abdominal flatulence.
