1. Heat-clearing and dampness-expelling agents: such as Lian Pu Drink and San Ren Tang. Lian Pu drink has the effect of clearing heat and dampness, regulating qi and zhong (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach to make the functions of the spleen and stomach smooth), and it is mainly used for treating cholera of dampness-heat; San Ren Tang has the effect of promoting qi, clearing dampness-heat, and it is mainly used for treating the beginning of dampness-warmth (warmth caused by feeling dampness-heat), or summer-warmth and dampness, which is heavier than heat.
2. Water-inducing and dampness-expelling agents: such as poria soup, Fangji Huangqi soup, poria soup has the effect of water-inducing and dampness-expelling, nourishing yin and clearing heat, and treating water-heat interactions and injury to yin; Fangji Huangqi soup has the effect of benefiting qi and dispelling wind, invigorating the spleen and inducing diuresis, and treating wind-water (sudden edema of the head, face and limbs) or rheumatism of the deficiency of the epidermis.
3. Dampness-expelling and turbidity-removing agents: such as Dioscorea Tang and Hypoglossus Dioscorea, etc. Dioscorea Tang has the effect of tonifying the spleen and dredging up the liver, resolving dampness and stopping leucorrhoea (reducing abnormally increased leucorrhoea by removing dampness), and treating leucorrhoea caused by deficiency of the spleen and depression of the liver, and dampness and turbidity infiltrating the leucorrhoea;
It is effective in warming the kidneys and inducing dampness, clearing and resolving turbidity, and is used for treating the symptoms of anaemia (urine as turbid as rice soup or slippery as grease, accompanied by frequent urination and urgency, and discomfort of traction in the abdomen) and leucorrhoea (urine as turbid as white slurry) caused by deficiency of the lower focal point.
