The presence of occult blood in urine can be seen in the following cases: First, it may be due to urinary tract infection. In addition to occult blood in urine, it is also accompanied by symptoms such as urinary frequency, urinary urgency and painful urination. If, in addition to occult blood, a large number of white blood cells are still visible in the urine routine, the infection is considered and it is recommended to give anti-infective medication, such as one ciprofloxacin tablet three times a day for one week orally. Second, if there is occult blood in the urine, accompanied by obvious pain in the lower back and abdomen, hematuria caused by urinary stones is considered, and an ultrasound examination of the urinary tract is recommended. If there are urinary stones, extracorporeal lithotripsy or surgery is recommended, and the hematuria can disappear on its own after the stones are removed. Third, systemic bleeding disorders, i.e., except for occult blood in urine, also accompanied by skin mucous membrane bleeding, gum bleeding, etc., it is recommended to check coagulation function and platelets. If platelets are reduced or coagulation dysfunction, further treatment in hematology is recommended. Fourthly, urological tumor, commonly found in elderly patients, usually does not have any pain and other symptoms, but pain in the lower back and abdomen may appear in the late stage of the tumor. It is recommended to routinely check the ultrasound of the urinary system, and if a tumor is suspected, further CT examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis. After surgical treatment, the occult blood in the urinary system can disappear.
