What are the VAS scoring criteria

VAS is one of the commonly used pain scoring criteria, the full name is visual analogue scoring method, which divides pain into 10 points, with 2 points indicating no pain, 10 points indicating severe pain, and the middle part indicating different degrees of pain. Patients are asked to draw marks on the horizontal lines according to how they feel, which are used to indicate the degree of pain, with scores of 2-4 representing mild pain, 5-7 representing moderate pain, and 8-9 representing severe pain. Mild pain can be analgesic with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as celecoxib, moderate pain can be analgesic with tramadol injection, and severe pain means that the pain has become very pronounced and requires opioid drugs such as morphine and pethidine.
