The treatment of concussion in children is highly individualized, and there is usually no absolute best treatment. Commonly used treatment measures in clinical practice include general treatment, symptomatic drug treatment, and so on. 1. General treatment (1) Early post-injury rest is helpful to avoid external adverse stimuli, reduce energy consumption, and help the body recover functionally. It is recommended to have a short rest for 1~2 days after the injury, and then gradually increase the cognitive activities, which should be maintained below the threshold level that may aggravate the symptoms under the guidance of physicians. (2) Supplemental nutrition and adequate sleep. 2. Symptomatic treatment with medication (1) Hydrate, and use intravenous electrolytes, glucose, and vitamin C for intravenous input if vomiting is severe. (2) For head and neck pain, acetaminophen can be used within 24h after injury, and ibuprofen can be used for more than 24h. (3) If there is sleep disorder, melatonin, etc. can be used. It should be noted that in the acute period of 0-6h after the onset of the disease, the use of drugs that have an impact on the state of consciousness should be avoided, such as codeine, tramadol opioids, diazepam and other benzodiazepines. Suspected concussion is recommended to go to the hospital in time; the above drugs need to be used under the guidance of a doctor, unauthorized use of drugs is prohibited.
