Asparagus has the effect of moistening dryness and nourishing yin, generating fluids and clearing the lungs. It is used for deficiency of kidney yin, tidal fever of bone vapor (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat comes from inside the bone to the outside), soreness and pain in the waist and knees; coughing and phlegm viscous, dry cough of the lungs, coughing up blood through labor; internal heat and thirst, dry thirst and pharynx, heat disease and injury to the fluids, dryness of the intestines and constipation. Adverse reactions are not clear, cold spleen and stomach, loose stools and little food, phlegm-damp cough, external wind-cold people should not take.
