High uric acid is usually not nephritis. High uric acid may be broken down from foods high in purines, or it may be impaired excretion of uric acid caused by renal injury, resulting in elevated blood uric acid, and high uric acid does not necessarily confirm renal pathology. Therefore, the measurement of uric acid requires strict fasting of purine-rich foods for 3 days to exclude the interference of exogenous uric acid. Common causes of elevated uric acid include secondary gout due to malignant tumors, and long-term use of diuretics (furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide) and anti-tuberculosis drugs (pyrazinamide). While nephritis is mainly manifested as hematuria, proteinuria, edema, hypertension, and renal function damage, not to high uric acid as the main feature. High uric acid need to be timely regular hospitals, clear cause, follow the doctor’s instructions to be targeted treatment.
