According to the current level of medical technology, gliomas cannot be completely cured. Glioma has the highest incidence rate, the most complicated treatment and the most difficult to cure among all brain tumors. All gliomas will recur, and the treatment after tumor recurrence remains difficult, and reoperation is the most important treatment means. 1. Low-grade astrocytoma: Surgery is the main therapeutic measure, and early surgery is currently advocated. The purpose is to clarify the histological and molecular pathological diagnosis, relieve the occupying effect and improve the symptoms, reduce the tumor load and slow down the growth, and prevent the tumor from malignant transformation. 2. High-grade astrocytoma: the treatment mode is surgery combined with postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy (and) or chemotherapy. The principle of surgery is to maximize the resection of the tumor under the premise of preserving important neurological functions. 3. Oligodendroglioma: Oligodendroglioma is sensitive to chemotherapy, so the combination of surgical resection and chemotherapy is recommended. Although glioma cannot be completely cured, we can prolong the patient’s life through surgical resection combined with other treatments, and re-treat the tumor after recurrence.
