There is no self-cure for emphysema. Some emphysema, such as restrictive emphysema, may not require special treatment if there are no obvious clinical symptoms. If clinical symptoms occur, medication and lung function training can be used to relieve symptoms, slow down disease progression and improve quality of life. 1. Pharmacotherapy: (1) Bronchodilators, such as albuterol, terbutaline, salmeterol, ipratropium bromide, tiotropium bromide, etc., can relieve symptoms such as cough, wheezing, and shortness of breath caused by emphysema. (2) Glucocorticoids: such as prednisone acetate, hydrocortisone, methylprednisolone, etc., which have anti-inflammatory effects and reduce the secretion of bronchial mucus, thus relieving the symptoms of emphysema. (3) Expectorants: For emphysema with a large amount of sputum, treatment with aminoglutethimide hydrochloride can be used as prescribed by the doctor to promote the discharge of sputum. (2) Lung function training: Lung function exercises such as lip-contraction breathing can be used to help improve emphysema symptoms. Patients who have the condition can also insist on home oxygen therapy. Patients with emphysema are advised to go to regular hospitals, improve the examination and actively deal with it. The above drugs need to be used under the guidance of a physician.
