What to do if you can’t sleep with neck pain

Cervical pain may be related to bad habits, cervical spondylosis and other factors, which can be dealt with through proper exercise, massage, medication, surgery and other methods.
1. Bad habits: Long-term work at the desk, strenuous exercise within a short period of time and other bad habits may lead to the accumulation of lactic acid and muscle tension, which may lead to cervical pain. Physical therapy methods such as hot compresses and massages can be used to promote local blood circulation and relieve cervical pain. You can also perform neck stretching and stretching exercises to relax the cervical spine and achieve pain relief.
If the pain is unbearable, you can take acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen and other analgesic drugs as prescribed by the doctor.
2. Cervical spondylosis:
(1) Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy such as intermediate frequency electrotherapy, ultrashort wave therapy and ultrasound therapy can dilate blood vessels, improve local blood circulation and relieve spasm of muscles and blood vessels, thus relieving pain.
(2) Drug therapy: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, meloxicam, and muscle relaxants such as chlorzoxazone, flupirtine, tizanidine, etc. have certain pain-relieving effects.
(3) Surgery: If there is no obvious effect after the above treatments, and the cervical pain is accompanied by numbness of the limbs and movement disorders, surgical treatment is needed to actively treat the cause of the disease and achieve the purpose of relieving pain.
If cervical pain is caused by bad lifestyle habits, it can be relieved on its own or with the help of medication. If the pain worsens or is accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
