There are many clinical causes of right leg joint ringing, such as the presence of a meniscal injury in the knee, which can result in a popping sound in the right leg joint. Patients may experience pain and in some cases, interlocking symptoms. The diagnosis of a meniscal injury needs to be made in conjunction with a physical examination and with ancillary tests. Patients need to undergo an aggressive MRI and a local abrasion test to determine the severity of the meniscus injury and to determine an aggressive treatment plan. If there is a third degree meniscal injury with significant symptoms of interlocking, it is necessary to actively perform arthroscopic surgery to trim and shape the damaged meniscus or take suturing surgery to treat the injury. The presence of osteoarthritis of the knee joint or a calcium deficiency in the joint during development may also cause the right leg joint to ring.
