What causes genital herpes?

Long genital herpes is caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus, which is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, vertical transmission from mother to child and indirect contact. 1. Sexual contact: Herpes simplex virus is present in the patient’s blister fluid, semen, prostate fluid, and vaginal secretions, so it can spread through unprotected sex. 2. Vertical transmission from mother to child: pregnant women with genital herpes may be infected by contact with the birth canal during labor and delivery, causing newborns to develop genital herpes. 3. Indirect contact transmission: a few patients will be indirectly transmitted through the use of household items contaminated by the patient, such as clothing, towels, bed linen and so on. Infected with genital herpes should go to the regular hospital in time for examination, sexual partners should also be examined at the same time, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
