Where does the gallbladder hurt?

Acute cholecystitis caused by gallbladder stones or gallbladder polyps mainly manifests as pain in the right upper abdomen, and some patients may have swelling and pain in the right shoulder and back, and may also have nausea, vomiting and fever. Its signs are mainly manifested as pressure pain in the right upper abdomen, and if the inflammation is more severe there may be rebound pain. In addition, one of the most important signs of acute cholecystitis is a positive Murphy’s sign, and if Murphy’s sign is positive, the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis can be confirmed. If acute cholecystitis occurs, symptomatic treatment such as active anti-inflammation, anti-infection and pain relief is needed. If the recurrent attacks of cholecystitis are caused by stones, it is recommended that surgery is still needed.
