Recurrent high fever in adults with throat infection

Adults with inflammation of the throat and repeated high fever are mostly considered acute upper respiratory tract infections. If there are symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, cough and headache, it is considered as common cold. If there are obvious symptoms in the throat, accompanied by fever and malaise, and examination reveals congestion and edema in the throat, local lymph node enlargement and tenderness, it is mostly a manifestation of acute viral pharyngitis. For sore throat, oral lysozyme tablets can be taken; for fever, acetaminophen and ibuprofen can be used to reduce fever; for bacterial infection, amoxicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics can be used; antiviral drugs such as ribavirin and oseltamivir are helpful to shorten the course of the disease.
