What to drink for newborn jaundice

There is no specific drug treatment for neonatal jaundice. Physiological jaundice, in most cases, can subside on its own; pathologic jaundice may require phototherapy, medication and blood exchange therapy. 1. Physiological jaundice: most of them appear in 2~3 days, peak in 4~5 days, and gradually subside in about 1 week, usually not more than 2 weeks. When the total bilirubin reaches the standard of phototherapy, blue light irradiation can be carried out under the guidance of doctor. 2. Pathological jaundice: (1) Phototherapy: it can reduce the serum unconjugated bilirubin, and pay attention to monitoring the change of bilirubin level during irradiation. (2) Drug therapy: when the bilirubin level is relatively high and the albumin level is low, albumin can be supplemented under the guidance of doctors; attention should be paid to correcting metabolic acidosis; injectable immunoglobulin can be used. (3) Blood exchange therapy: for severe jaundice caused by hemolysis, it is necessary to choose to use blood exchange therapy under the guidance of doctors. When jaundice is found in newborns, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to choose the appropriate treatment.
