What are the early signs of ovarian cancer?

Early stage of ovarian cancer usually has no specific precursor, and some patients may have symptoms such as menstrual disorders, lumbar and abdominal pain, abdominal distension, edema and so on.
1. Menstrual disorders: due to the destruction of ovary by tumor cells, the normal function of ovary is affected, resulting in ovarian dysfunction, so the most obvious change is menstrual disorders, such as scanty menstruation or amenorrhea, which are the most common manifestations;
2. Lumbar and abdominal pain: as the tissues near the ovary are infiltrated by cancer cells, pulling the surrounding tissues or making the surrounding tissues adherent, it can cause pain in the surrounding lumbar and abdominal areas;
3. Abdominal distension: abdominal distension is the most obvious and typical symptom of ovarian cancer in early stage. If there is no previous digestive disease or no obvious abnormality is found in gastroenterology, then we should be alert to the possibility of ovarian cancer;
4. Oedema: it mainly manifests as vulvar oedema, which is caused by the tumor compressing pelvic vein, resulting in obstruction of blood return and lymphatic return, leading to vulvar oedema and lower limb oedema.
Ovarian cancer is a kind of hidden disease, most of the patients will not have obvious discomfort symptoms in the early stage, and can only be detected through ultrasound, CT or tumor markers, etc. It is suggested that high-risk groups should have regular medical checkups in order to find out the disease at an early stage and treat it positively.
