Does herpes hurt?

Herpes refers to the disease caused by herpes virus infection. There are many different types of herpes viruses in the clinic, but the more common ones in the clinic are such as herpes simplex virus, varicella-zoster virus, and cytomegalovirus. Some herpes will experience significant pain and some will not. For example, if a patient develops perioral herpes or genital herpes as a result of herpes simplex virus infection, it may be accompanied by a certain amount of pain, but in some cases, the feeling of pain is definitely not the first symptom manifestation. For chickenpox-herpes zoster virus infection caused by herpes zoster disease, often lead to severe neuralgia, and neuralgia is the more important clinical features of herpes zoster manifestations. After cytomegalovirus infection, patients often do not have pain as the main clinical symptom.
