Does it hurt to scrape the uterus for a few minutes?

Women who are pregnant and do not want to have a baby for various reasons may choose to go to the hospital for a curettage procedure to terminate the pregnancy. The procedure is painful because it involves opening the cervix with an instrument and removing the gestational sac or endometrium from the body. However, since it is a relatively minor procedure, it does not take very long, about 5-8 minutes. The procedure is performed by dilating the uterine opening with a dildo to widen the cervix to a certain level, then allowing the instrument to pass through the vagina and enter the uterus, and then scraping and removing the pregnancy sac or endometrium from the uterine wall with the instrument, as well as scratching the surrounding uterine wall until it is completely clean. The whole procedure is very painful and many women cannot tolerate it. However, because the procedure is not particularly complicated, it does not take very long and can be completed in a few minutes. If a woman is sensitive to pain, she can choose to have a painless curettage, which is based on the use of anesthetic drugs in the ordinary curettage, and will be in a drowsy state during the entire procedure, and the operation will be over when she comes to her senses. After the scraping surgery, because the endometrium and cervix have certain trauma, so need to infusion of anti-inflammatory to prevent wound infection, and in the post-operative to strengthen nutrition and pay more attention to rest.
