Breast milk jaundice is a pathologic form of jaundice. Because breast milk jaundice usually occurs 3-4 days after birth, and then reaches the peak in about 2 weeks, and can last for 3-12 weeks to subside, so it belongs to pathologic jaundice. Generally, physiological jaundice subsides within 2 weeks in term babies and 4 weeks in preterm babies, but breast milk jaundice lasts longer and easily overlaps with physiological jaundice, so it is pathological. If the child’s jaundice degree is not serious, the general condition is good, can take oral gardenia yellow treatment and with more sunshine, also helps to reduce yellow. However, if the child’s jaundice is more obvious, it is necessary to give blue light irradiation to reduce jaundice treatment. If the child breastfeeding jaundice recurrence and the degree is more serious then need to suspend breastfeeding jaundice.
