If there is tonsillar hypertrophy leading to narrowing of the oropharyngeal cavity, a particularly nasal sound may also occur. In the above cases, if the patient only has a heavy nasal sound and no other manifestations of nasal congestion, runny nose, snoring, or difficulty in breathing, the patient can be clinically treated with observation for the time being and no special treatment or handling is needed.
