The Suoso point belongs to a point of the Dushi chakra and is located on the face, directly in the center of the tip of the nose. The location of the Suoso point is the same for both men and women.
It is used to clear heat and fire, and to awaken the mind. It is used for coma, convulsions, neonatal asphyxia, shock, respiratory failure, nasal abyss (mainly manifested as filthy nasal mucus that is too profuse to be wiped away), epistaxis (nosebleed), and so on.
For the treatment of nasal congestion, Suoso point can be combined with Shangxing, Yingxiang, Shuigou and Tongtian points. For treating nosebleed, it can be combined with Zanzhu, Tianzhu, Fengchi, Shanjing, Shanwai, Sanli points of the hands, Hegu, and so on.
The Suoso point is operated by stabbing upward obliquely 0.3 to 0.5 inch, or puncturing for bleeding. Moxibustion is prohibited at this point. The specific operational treatment of the Suoso point should be carried out by a doctor and should not be self-treated.
