How is a urinary fistula diagnosed clinically?

  Urinary fistulas are abnormal passages that form between the female genital tract and the urinary organs. It mainly includes vesicovaginal fistula, urethrovaginal fistula, vesicourethrovaginal fistula, and urethrovaginal fistula. It is one of the most painful diseases for women, as urine cannot be controlled to flow out from the vagina, which affects the patient’s contact with the surrounding people due to the abnormal unpleasant fishy smell and causes great mental and physical pain to the patient.  Clinical manifestations 1. Leakage of urine, i.e. uncontrollable flow of urine from the vagina, leakage of urine in the hour of fistula hole is related to the body position.  2. Dermatitis of the vulva and buttocks.  3. Mostly associated with urinary tract infections.  4. Difficulty in sexual intercourse can be caused by vaginal scar stenosis.  5. Some patients have amenorrhea.  The diagnosis is based on 1. The patient reports vaginal flow of urine that cannot be controlled by herself.  2.Gynecological examination may reveal urine flow from the vagina and fistula and intermittent flow of urine.  3.Melan test.  4.The final diagnosis can be confirmed by cystoscopy or pyeloureteral and cystogram.
