The amount of milk your baby eats should not be considered in a single way, but should be based on a combination of factors such as the child’s weight and the speed of growth and development. If the baby is developing faster, more can be given appropriately. Generally speaking, newborns can start feeding 30-50ml of milk each time after birth, 6-8 times a day. Half a month after birth, when the child’s growth and development accelerates, you can gradually increase to 100-120ml each time and feed 6-7 times a day. When the child reaches 2-3 months of age, the amount of milk can be increased to 120-150 ml and should also be given at least 6 times a day. For children 5-6 months old the amount of milk can be increased to more than 200ml, but should not exceed 250ml, and nursing should be given 4-5 times a day. For babies over half a year old, there is no need to increase the amount of milk further, as this is the time when complementary foods should be added to the child.
