Composition and dosage of Antinuclear Tang

The composition is different in different literatures. Here is an example of one of them, the composition and dosage of which are 15g of kombu, 15g of seaweed, 10g of chenpi, 10g of hemixia, 10g of xylocarpus, 10g of muxia, 10g of platanum, 30g of siliqua, 10g of bupleurum, 10g of chaihu, 10g of xiangsuo.
In Kernel Elimination Tang, kombu, seaweed, hemixia, filipendula, and platycodon can soften and disperse knots (soften and dissipate hard lumps), while baihu, xiangsui, chenpi, and qingpi soothe the liver and move qi to regulate menstruation. Together, these medicines have the functions of dredging the liver and relieving depression, moving qi to dissipate knots, and clearing collaterals to resolve phlegm, and they are mainly used for the treatment of mammary gland hyperplasia.
The adverse effects and contraindications of this formula are not clear, but because it contains Semen Armeniacae and Seaweed, it should not be taken together with Radix Aconiti and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae.
