Dental notches are the grooves of the teeth. Black stains may be pigmentation or caries and need to be sandblasted or filled.
1. Pigmentation: the surface of the tooth is smooth, the probe can not be inserted into the fossa of the point, there is no pain and other uncomfortable symptoms. If aesthetics is important, sandblasting can be done to remove the pigmentation.
2. Dental caries: Because it is difficult to clean, the point gap fossa is the most prone to dental caries. Black areas can be found with a rough surface that can be probed with a probe, and those with deeper caries will also experience soreness and hot/cold discomfort. The black decayed tissue needs to be removed and then filled.
Black stains inside the grooves of the teeth may also be caused by other reasons, please go to the regular hospital stomatology examination, early detection and early treatment.
