Luteal insufficiency is generally difficult to cure on its own and requires standardized treatment as prescribed by the doctor. Treatments include progesterone supplementation, the use of human chorionic gonadotropin, and the use of estrogen antagonists.
1. Supplemental luteinizing hormone: patients with luteal insufficiency can follow the doctor’s instructions to supplement the luteinizing hormone replacement therapy, the drug can choose oral luteinizing hormone capsules, dydrogesterone tablets and other drugs, usually from the day after ovulation after the rise in basal body temperature to the menstrual period to stop the drug.
2. Use of human chorionic gonadotropin: patients with luteal insufficiency, if the test found that the follicle is about to mature, can be injected with human chorionic gonadotropin to stimulate the luteal development, promote the maturation of the follicle and the discharge of the egg.
3. Estrogen antagonists: Patients with luteal insufficiency can also use estrogen antagonists, such as clomiphene, as prescribed by the doctor. These drugs act on the hypothalamus, competing with estrogen for receptors, reducing estrogen feedback and thus achieving therapeutic goals.
There are many other methods that can be used in the treatment of patients with luteal insufficiency, and it is recommended that such patients go to a regular hospital, cooperate with the doctor to complete the relevant examinations, and actively treat.
