Normal chest radiographs can be performed after eating, because general chest radiographs are performed in a standing position with breath-holding for a short period of time, and whether or not one has eaten does not affect the normal projection. The chest radiograph is mainly to observe the lung condition, mediastinum condition and bone condition of the chest, not the condition of the digestive tract, so it will not affect the judgment of the chest radiograph after eating. However, if the patient is not in a good condition, if he/she will experience discomfort after eating and cannot hold his/her breath normally, it is recommended to take the picture again at another time for the best quality.
