The treatment of intestinal multiple hyperplastic polyps has colonoscopic polypectomy, or surgical lesion site colorectal resection, post-operative follow-up colonoscopy is required.
1. Colonoscopic polypectomy: intestinal polyps can be performed under the colorectoscope polypectomy, mostly using radiofrequency treatment or ligation, this surgical procedure is less harmful to the patient, fast recovery, if the atypical hyperplasia epithelial tissue does not invade the mucosal musculature, the tip of the polyp has a clear resection line and the lesion is a highly differentiated type, endoscopic resection and close endoscopic follow-up can be.
2. Surgery: Surgery is recommended for unsuccessful colonoscopic resection, polyps, and familial intestinal polyposis to remove the diseased intestine. Follow-up treatment depends on the histologic type of polyp.
In those patients with a deeper part of the tumor invasion, poorly demarcated polyp tips and low differentiation of the lesion itself, a partial colonic resection is indicated. Because tumor invasion of the mucosal musculature can invade the lymphatics, making lymph node metastasis more likely, these patients should be further evaluated.
