Rifapentine is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum bactericidal agent with anti-tuberculosis effect, usually used in the initial and re-treatment of all kinds of tuberculosis, but also can be used in conjunction with anti-leprosy drugs for leprosy treatment, and it is recommended to be taken orally on an empty stomach.
Rifapentine use may appear leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, rash, dizziness, insomnia and other adverse reactions, the emergence of influenza syndrome, immune thrombocytopenia, anaphylactic shock and other serious adverse reactions, to stop the drug in time to seek medical attention, allergic to the product and rifamycin antibacterial drugs, hepatic insufficiency, biliary obstruction, tuberculous meningitis, pregnancy and other patients are prohibited.
