Symptoms of Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism, mainly due to excessive secretion of thyroid hormones, causes accelerated body metabolism and sympathetic nerve excitation, which further leads to a series of symptoms. Typical symptoms include accelerated metabolism, nerve excitation, endocrine dysfunction and so on. 1. Accelerated metabolism: the body consumes nutrients at a faster rate, resulting in increased food intake, active gastrointestinal peristalsis, and increased bowel movements. 2. Nervous excitement: manifested as easily agitated, irritable, nervous, and not easy to sleep, etc. 3. Accelerated cardiac activity: accelerated heart rate, increased heart output, occasional panic and other symptoms. 4. Endocrine dysfunction: there may be symptoms such as amenorrhea. Some patients will also be accompanied by symptoms such as protruding eyes, abnormal muscle activity, etc. In severe cases, thyroid crisis may occur. Abnormal thyroid function requires medical treatment and standardized treatment under the guidance of clinicians.
