Where are the epiphyses located?

The epiphysis is located at the ends of the bone and the expanded part is called the epiphysis. Long bones have a long body called the diaphysis and two ends called epiphyses. The epiphysis has an articulating surface and adjacent bone joints, and the epiphysis is closely related to the growth of the bone. Usually, during childhood and development, this area is called the secondary ossification center, which means that these ossification centers of the epiphysis ossify as the human body grows, which means that the epiphyses heal as the human bone grows, which means that the epiphyses stop growing, and the whole body stops growing in height. There is also a disk-shaped cartilage called the epiphyseal plate between the epiphysis and the metaphysis of the long bones, which also plays a very big role in the growth of the bones.
