What causes a raised surface ulcer in the nasopharynx?

Nasopharyngeal elevated surface ulcers may be related to nasopharyngeal lymphoid hyperplasia and nasopharyngeal cancer.
1. Nasopharyngeal lymphoid hyperplasia: Nasopharyngeal lymphoid hyperplasia is mainly caused by chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal mucosa, which mainly manifests symptoms such as nodule-like or granuloma-like elevation, rough and uneven surface, submucosal elevation, easy bleeding, etc. Untimely treatment may cause nasopharyngeal elevation surface ulcers.
2. Nasopharyngeal cancer: Nasopharyngeal cancer is a kind of malignant tumor occurring in mucous epithelium of nasopharynx, mostly occurring in the top wall and side wall of nasopharynx. Patients may have a series of symptoms such as tinnitus, hearing loss, nasal congestion, blood in the nasal discharge, headache, facial numbness, etc. Ulcers, erosions and hyperplasia-like changes in nasopharyngeal elevation can be seen.
There may be other causes of nasopharyngeal elevated surface ulcers.
